Brunei Darussalam's Ministry of Finance has announced the successful pricing of its 30th issuance of short-term Sukuk Al-Ijarah securities.

The B$21 million issue carrying a maturity of 91 days and giving a rental rate of 0.30 per cent began on May 7, 2009 and will mature on August 6, 2009.

With this issuance, the Brunei Government has thus far issued over B$1.6billion worth of short-term Sukuk Al-Ijarah securities since the maiden offering on April 6, 2006. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
