The Ministry of Finance in Brunei Darussalam has announced the successful pricing of its 28th issuance of short-term Sukuk al-Ijarah securities. The B$25 million issue carrying a maturity of 91 days began on April 9, 2009 and will mature on July 9, 2009 at a rental rate of 0.30 per cent. With this issuance, the Brunei government has thus far issued over B$1.5 billion worth of Sukuk al-Ijarah securities since the maiden offering on April 6, 2006.
