The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) announces that the monthly issue of the Sukuk Al-Salam Islamic securities has been oversubscribed by 108.3%. Subscriptions worth BD6.5 million were received for the BD6m issue, which carries a maturity of 91 days.
The expected return on the issue, which begins on 1 October 2008 and matures on 31 December 2008, is 2.30%.
The securities are issued by the CBB on behalf of the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
This is issue No89 of Sukuk Al-Salam securities.
